TULIP-LASCH4-4
This shawl is inspired by the work of William Morris, a 19th Century artist who created amazing graphic designs featuring floral patterns for wallpaper. I was intrigued by the notion of combining such a motif together with several types of knitting that I am frequently drawn to in order to create something just a little off the beaten path, much like William Morris himself!
This triangular shawl, with an optional fringe, is knit from the top down and can be knit in the round, using a steek, or can be knit in rows (either back and forth with no fringe, or in rows on the right side only with a fringe). No matter your preferred method, you can make a beautiful shawl to keep your shoulders warm!
Finished Measurements:
Shawl measures 193cm/76" in width from tip to tip, and 72cm/28.5" in depth from centre point to inner edge, exclusive of fringe.
Yarn Requirements:
Yarn is marled (worked holding two strands together) except where working stranded charts. Shawl requires 2 skeins in MC, and 2 skeins in CC.
Kits are available in:
The sample is shown in Denim 5 (MC) and Irish Linen (CC). It is recommended to use the darker colour as the dominant colour in the stranded portion of the shawl.

A download link for the pattern PDF will be sent to you when the Kit is ready to be shipped. It is included as part of the shipping confirmation notice.
While we make every effort to represent colour accurately, they may vary slightly when viewed on different monitors.
Dyed-to-Order: Please note that with dyed-to-order yarns you will need to allow up to 2 - 3 weeksfor us to dye and ship your yarn. In addition, while we strive for consistency, due to the hand dye process variations may exist between (and with some colourways within) dye lots. Therefore it is important to order sufficient yarn for your project, and if a uniform result is preferred we suggest alternating skeins. We hope that you will value and appreciate the beautiful and unique creations of the hand dye process and are always happy to assist you in working with hand dyed yarns!
