Ancient Arts Yarn is an artisan hand dye company drawing our inspirations from nature, art, and our love of stories. We use only premium bases ethically sourced, ethically milled, and spun exclusively for us. Our yarns are ideal for knitting, crochet, weaving, and any other craft requiring a top-quality yarn. All yarns are individually hand dyed in small dye lots using environmentally conscious dyes and dyeing practices.
Casapinka and her beloved feline co-worker, Sharon from Security, are hosting a Mystery KAL. Apparently Sharon has done much (most?) of the designing! This is guaranteed to be a fun knit, with lots and lots of Cat-itude! The start date for the MKAL is August 7th and one clue is released each week for 6 weeks. Check out Casapinka's IG page for more details: @casapinka.

The Project: a rectangular shawl, using 4 skeins of contrasting fingering weight yarn. Each skein should be between 370-440 yds. The recommended needle size is US 4,5,6 (3.5, 3.75, 4 mm), and should be at least 24” long. The gauge is 22 stitches over 4” in stockinette and after blocking.
Difficulty: Beginner - there will be two versions of the shawl, Absolute Beginner, and Advanced Beginner. There will be a number of different stitch patterns, none of which will be difficult. It is the colour combinations that will give this shawl its STAR power.
Kits and Colour Choices: to make your colour choices stress-free, we have developed some new colours and carefully curated THREE (3) yarn kits for you! We are offering the kits on our luxurious Little Nettle Soft fingering weight yarn.
