Ancient Arts Yarn is an artisan hand dye company drawing our inspirations from nature, art, and our love of stories. We use only premium bases ethically sourced, ethically milled, and spun exclusively for us. Our yarns are ideal for knitting, crochet, weaving, and any other craft requiring a top-quality yarn. All yarns are individually hand dyed in small dye lots using environmentally conscious dyes and dyeing practices.
Designed by Amanda Kaffka, the Paralleling Shawl is simple, sophisticated, and a delight to knit. Stripes of Stockinette and Reverse Stockinette stitch parallel each other with adjacent garter stitch panels. This lovely shawl can be worked in one colour to showcase the texture, or in two colours to create some pizazz!
We are offering kits in the original colours and in three carefully chosen combinations to spark your imagination! There is a play on the Colours of the Year, the subtle and soothing contrast of the two-toned Island theme, and the fun combination of purples in Tiny Orchid and Purple Sequins.
Each kit includes 2 skeins of the Main Colour and 1 skein of the Contrast Colour, OR 3 skeins of a single colour.
The pattern is NOT INCLUDED in the Kit, but it is available on Ravelry: Paralleling Shawl pattern by Amanda Kaffka.

Use three colours to create a satisfyingly comfortable sweater. This drop shoulder pullover is knit in pieces and seamed together before the neckline ribbing is added. This stunning pullover will keep you warm and fashionable throughout the year!
The Evening Fire Pullover is a cushy and casual sweater. The simple stitch pattern adds a rustic textural vibe, while the stylish neckband wraps you in a warm hug. Worked flat in pieces from the bottom up, the seams and set-in sleeves provide a well-structured garment to wear everyday.
Take 'traditional with a twist' and make it eminently wearable with this luscious raglan-sleeve pullover. The stranded colourwork sleeves and classic raglan shaping individually evoke tradition, but combined together, they bring a thoroughly modern sensibility to a well-balanced pullover.
This gender neutral pullover has a high collar with a buttoned placket which is perfect for wearing open over a collared shirt or closing for pure coziness. Worked with ridges and furrows, crests and rolling cables this classic textured sweater is perfect for every person and every occasion.
The Tesserae Jacket will keep you warm and stylish at the office or out on the town! With its gorgeous high collar and wide sleeves, the tailored look is enhanced by the positioning of the buttons to suggest shaping. The striking mosaic border stripes can be made bolder or subtler as preferred with your choice of colours from our extensive range.
