Have you seen all the recent granny square projects like scarves, bags, sweaters and more online and instantly thought "I need to learn how to make one of these!". In this class you will learn all the skills you need for basic granny squares and how you can fashion them into scarves and blankets.

The first session will go over the basic construction of a granny square, while in the second session we'll talk about joining square together to make various projects.

Date: Saturday February 14 and February 28, 2026 (2 sessions)
Time: 10:00am to 12:00 pm (2 hour class)
In Person Class at Calgary Studio - 607 Manitou Rd SE, Calgary, AB

Class Fee:$90.00

Class size:Minimum of 2 and maximum of 8 students. Pre-registration is required.

*Basic crochet skills required. Must be able to double crochet and chain.*

Supplies to bring:

Crochet Hook (5.00mm is recommended but 4.5mm to 5.5mm will also work)
Ancient Arts Merino DK in 3 colours. If you need to purchase your yarn, please come the week before the class begins.

-- Cancellations for a full refund must be received at least a week prior to commencement of the class. We are also happy to help reschedule if available.

-- Full refunds will be given in the event that a class is cancelled by Ancient Arts or the instructor.

-- We are not able to offer make up classes, so please check your schedule carefully before registering to ensure you are able to attend all sessions.

We offer a one-year return and exchange policy from the date of shipment. We know knitting and crochet projects often unfold over time, and a shorter return window doesn’t always make sense.

Returns requested within the timeframe permitted by the original payment method (typically up to 90 days, and in some cases up to 120 days) are eligible for a refund to the original method of payment. After that period, and up to one year from the shipment date, returns are eligible for exchange or store credit/gift card only.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, yarn must be in original condition with labels intact, and be scent- and smoke-free. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable.
