This rectangular double-knit stole is inspired by the traditional Japanese Tatewaku (Rising Steam) pattern, in which the steam gently rises illustrating subtle curves. In Scandinavia, experiencing saunas and hot springs is revered and of extreme importance, fitting perfectly with the use of the rising steam motif.

This stole uses a captivating interplay of 10 colours, using Herlig DK and Lascaux DK yarn in pairs, spanning the full spectrum of colours. It showcases the remarkable versatility and beauty of these yarns. Additionally, the pattern uses 80% of the total yarn quantity, allowing you to create a matching skinny scarf using any remaining yarn. You can achieve this by reducing the number of chart repeats from 8 down to 2.

Working with Hand Dyed Yarn:While we strive for consistency, due to the hand dye process variations may exist between (and with some colourways within) dye lots. Therefore it is important to order sufficient yarn for your project, and if a uniform result is preferred we suggest alternating skeins. We offer a 60-day return and exchange policy from the date of shipment. To be eligible for a return or exchange yarn must be in original condition with label intact and be scent and smoke-free. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
