Familiar Laser Design
Christine designs and hand makes many different housewares and decor items, mainly using autocad and my lasers. She makes yarn buddies (walking, swiveling wristlet that holds a ball of yearn), cheat cards with engraved knitting and crochet tips, and tools and tools that can be added to a loop and kept in the craft bag. She also takes orders for any custom requests!

We are a husband-and-wife hand dyed yarn team who love adding colour and fun to the world! Our hand dyed yarn is inspired by themes including fandom, horror, gnomes, and more. We’re known for our bright colourways, pixel yarn, buffalo plaid series, and our stunning black light reactive collection. We also make stylish and functional bags using top quality materials!

Smirking Cat features tea towels and goods drawn and sewn by Japanese Calgarian artist Yuki Tanaka. Many designs feature cats, but also other animals are illustrated too. They take an interest in art that has a purpose, so many designs are featured on daily use items such as tea towels, tote bags, and coasters.

Twist and Tangle
We've raised alpacas for over 20 years in central Alberta and will be selling alpaca yarn from our own animals, including hand spun yarns, as well as alpaca socks and stitch markers.

Demo Information

Jodi Tarney will be demonstrating Hairpin lace! Hairpin lace is a beautiful variation on crochet, in which you combine a standard crochet hook with a simple small loom to create lacy, openwork designs. Once you've seen hairpin lace, you will always immediately recognize it, because it has a very unique appearance that never fails to catch the eye!

Alison Rose will be providing our annual Spinning demo so you'll be able to check in on how yarn is made, learn about the fibres that go into yarn, and ask anything you've ever wanted to know about spinning!

Katherine Bonham will be doing her annual rigid heddle loom weaving demo and I bet you'll be so enchanted with this approachable and oh so fun way to get into weaving you'll want to book a class with her!

Kim Whitley will be back with her enthralling CSM/circular sock machine demo and it's a fascinating look at the history of machine sock making and may just get you to get into it yourself (what a great way to stash bust!).
