The Roman Villa Socks are inspired by ancient Roman Villas and their mosaic floors and are fun way to learn to work with mosaic and twisted stitches in the round! In this three-session class we will cover how to work mosaic stitch (including some tips on avoiding the jog that happens with patterns in the round), we will learn how to work twisted stitch patterns, and we will explore to modify our socks to customize the size and fit!

Session 1 will cover mosaic stitch, session 2 will cover twisted stitches and heel customization, and session 3 will review these concepts and dive into modifying the foot and toe of your sock.

Date: Saturday February 21, February 28, and March 7 2026 (3 sessions)
Time: 2:00pm to 4:00 pm (Saturday) (2 hour class)
In Person Class at Calgary Studio - 607 Manitou Rd SE, Calgary, AB

Class Fee:$135.00

Class size:Minimum of 2 and maximum of 10 students. Pre-registration is required.

*Basic knitting skills required, must be able to knit in the round.*

Supplies to bring:

Knitting needles: 2.25mm or 2.5mm, in preferred length for small circumference knitting (DPNs, 32 inch circular for magic loop, etc)
Ancient Arts Socknado. If you need to purchase yarn please come in the week before class to pick it out.

We offer a one-year return and exchange policy from the date of shipment. We know knitting and crochet projects often unfold over time, and a shorter return window doesn’t always make sense.

Returns requested within the timeframe permitted by the original payment method (typically up to 90 days, and in some cases up to 120 days) are eligible for a refund to the original method of payment. After that period, and up to one year from the shipment date, returns are eligible for exchange or store credit/gift card only.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, yarn must be in original condition with labels intact, and be scent- and smoke-free. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable.
