Every summer Ancient Arts hosts a summer shawl KAL and this year is no exception - except that this year the KAL is more of a fall shawl KAL based on the project and the timing for the 2026 shawl KAL. This week I'm giving you a sneak peek at the Breezy Starlight Summer Shawl, which is the perfect choice for cool mornings, evening chills, and fall outings! 

This shawl appeals to knitters of all levels. It's a great choice for an adventurous beginner to learn some simple lace thanks to the oversize eyelet lace and simple lace border, and it's equally a great choice for a more experienced knitter because the pattern is easy to memorize which means you can take this shawl on holiday or out to a stitch night and not have to worry about following a complex pattern!

This shawl can be knit in either Revival Fingering (requires 3 skeins) or Little Nettle Soft (requires 4 skeins) and is suitable for both semi-solid colourways and specked colourways (please note that pooling colourways will obscure some of the border lace definition).
