Summer Sock Club 2026 - August Pattern: Crab Socks

AUGUST SUMMER SOCK CLUB - Crab Socks

Designed by Caroline Sommerfeld

You will receive the pattern when it releases on the 15th of each month.

Our August sock is the Crab People Socks by Caroline Sommerfeld! Summer time is the perfect time to head for the beach, and there is nothing more fun than pottering along the beach and through tide pools, watching the tiny crabs we find there live their lives. There are many fascinating species of crabs and different crab species favor distinct beach areas based on their needs for shelter and  food. Some prefer tide pools, some like rocky beaches, some like wet sands, and some dry. If you're very lucky you'll get to see them come out to court each other and play as they dance on the sands!

These socks are designed with mosaic stitch which creates raised crabs that dance around the leg of your sock. The striped foot is inspired by old timey bathing suit costumes that were (and are as you can still buy them) striped! These socks will take you for a fun day at the beach where you can dip your toes in the surf and watch the wildlife all from the comfort of home! These socks include five sizes so they are sure to fit your favourite traveller.

After that period, and up to one year from the shipment date, returns are eligible for exchange or store credit/gift card only.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, yarn must be in original condition with labels intact, and be scent- and smoke-free. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable.

Please note that our prices for customers in the USA include tariffs which have been paid on your behalf at time of import, in the event this product is returned or exchanged any tariffs paid are not available for refund or credit towards exchange yarn.
