This beautiful shawl began as an experiment. Would a shawl knit in traditional Estonian stitches, such as nupps, cables, and 3 sts into 3 work with hand dyed fingering yarn? The result speaks for itself!
The centre and borders are knit in one piece, then the stitches for the edging are picked up and the edging knitted on as you go.
A gorgeous showcase, and a stunning piece!
