Knitting needles come in a wide variety of brands, styles, and materials and it can be confusing to navigate your way through the sea of options available to the modern knitter. This class will survey the major brands and give you the confidence to choose the right needles for you and the projects you want to make.

During this class we’ll try out lots of types of needles, explore how needle construction and material interact with both you and your work, and see how needles affect gauge, comfort, and overall enjoyment. You’ll leave this class confident in how to choose the right needles for you and for each project!

Date: Saturday June 20, 2026 (1 session)
Time: 10:00am to 12:30 pm (2.5 hour class)
In Person Class at Calgary Studio - 607 Manitou Rd SE, Calgary, AB

Class Fee:$45.00

Class size:Minimum of 2 and maximum of 10 students. Pre-registration is required.

-- To register and attend classes, students must be at least 12 years old. Certain class listings may specify a different minimum age.

-- Cancellations for a full refund must be received at least a week prior to commencement of the class. We are also happy to help reschedule if available.

-- Full refunds will be given in the event that a class is cancelled by Ancient Arts or the instructor.

-- We are not able to offer make up classes, so please check your schedule carefully before registering to ensure you are able to attend all sessions.

-- Please ensure when attending classes you have all materials ready to go (including yarn wound) prior to the start of the first session. Material requirements can be found in the class listing on our website.

We offer a one-year return and exchange policy from the date of shipment. We know knitting and crochet projects often unfold over time, and a shorter return window doesn’t always make sense.

Returns requested within the timeframe permitted by the original payment method (typically up to 90 days, and in some cases up to 120 days) are eligible for a refund to the original method of payment. After that period, and up to one year from the shipment date, returns are eligible for exchange or store credit/gift card only.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, yarn must be in original condition with labels intact, and be scent- and smoke-free. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable.
