This light and lacy cowl will keep you warm on cool summer evenings, and is ideal for showing off your favourite colour pooling yarns! It is just as fun to knit with your favourite tone-on-tone yarns and shows off its lacy pattern in fine style. The lace pattern is simple to knit and produces a garment that can be worn as a scarf, shawlette, or doubled up to keep your neck toasty warm!
The cowl pictured was knit using 1 skein Ancient Arts 75% Superwash Wool/ 25% Nylon 4 ply fingering/sock, Grey Tabby
Size:
Cowl measures approximately 33” (at rest) in circumference x 12’ across.
Suggested Yarns:
Uses approximately 300m/380 yds. fingering/sock weight yarn
1 skein Ancient Arts 75% Wool / 25% Nylon 4 ply fingering/sock yarn
1 skein Ancient Arts 100% BFL 4 ply fingering/sock yarn
Needles:
4.5 mm (US size 7) circular needle (24’ cable) or size needed to attain gauge
Notes:
This pattern uses approximately 300m (380 yds.) fingering/sock weight yarn.
In order for the pooling effect to work correctly, you will need a skein that measures 1.5 yds. circumference.

This pattern is equally lovely in a non-pooling yarn!
