Colour of the Month Theme for 2026 - Children's Literature

May 2026 - Hello Rock

Our May Colour of the Month is inspired by Hello Rock, which is a children's book by Roger Bradfield. This charming little book was written over fifty years ago but is still in print to this day. It is a timeless and classic and reads today as though it was penned (and illustrated) just yesterday. It celebrates the spark of magic we call "imagination" that lives within each child. The child in this book feels perfectly at ease talking and dreaming with his favorite rock, and as the child does so the reader is encouraged to expand the imagination, for instance via a chat with an inanimate object,. If you've never tried it, you've missed out on some interesting conversation! This book teaches us that a friend accepts you just the way you are.

Our suggested pairings for April include Flamboyant, Nectarine, Minty Mint and Dark Roast.

Therefore it is important to order sufficient yarn for your project, and if a uniform result is preferred we suggest alternating skeins. We offer a 60-day return and exchange policy from the date of shipment. To be eligible for a return or exchange yarn must be in original condition with label intact and be scent and smoke-free. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
