Designed by Camilyn Crane
The Borre Shawl is inspired by a dramatic style of early Norse art which is characterized by a range of geometric interlaced knot patterns and zoomorphic (single animal) motifs. This style prevailed in Scandinavia from the late 9th through to the late 10th centuries and draws its name from a group of gilt-bronze harness mounts recovered from a ship grave in Borre mound cemetery near the village of Borre, Vestfold, Norway.
This shawl has beautiful winding cables on a simple background, just like Borre artwork, and will keep you warm on the coldest of winter days, and the darkest of winter nights.
