FROSTY WINTER NIGHTS COWL
Designed by Caroline Sommerfeld
When winter comes and one has to go home in the dark at the end of the work day, one of the accessories I most appreciate is a cozy cowl! It's also my favourite accessory to wear when I go out to the mountains for a winter hike.
This cowl uses colours and motifs that remind me of crisp cold walks at night with the stars in the sky above and the wildlife tracks twisting through the snow. Its worked in mosaic stitch to add an extra layer of cozy while keeping it easy and fun to make.
The cowl is tall enough to pull up to keep the back of your head and neck warm, but not so tall that it becomes bulky. Add in a yarn with a touch of sheer decadence and you have a cowl that is as fun to make as it is to wear!
