About the Yarn: Our custom Nettle Soft blend is a unique and eco-friendly blend of Fine Merino and Nettle plant fibre, which results in a yarn that will give your garment beautiful drape, lustre, and stitch definition. Fine merino creates a yarn that is soft and lofty yarn and dyes in beautiful colours. Nettle is a fair trade sustainable and eco-conscious plant fibre extracted from the Giant Himalayan Stinging Nettle plant. Its long white fibres are linen-like, soft, and shine like silk. Nettle is also anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral, and adds strength and blocking ability to yarn, helping to preserve the shaping of the garments. The nettle fibres do not accept dye, and this results in a lovely soft heathering effect to colours.
