Baiba has knitted the shores of her homeland into these socks — they represent the dancing waves of the Baltic Sea with white crests and sandy beaches, rippled by the water. You can walk there for miles and miles gathering amber, wish-stones and pretty shells.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eKnitting starts at the cuff where stripes ripple like the sea. The hidden illusion element emphasizes the wavy dynamic of this original stitch pattern. From the cuff to the very tips of the toes the socks are covered in a sand stitch pattern. Two techniques are combined including helical knitting and sequences set-up to spiral. This speckled stitch pattern seamlessly emerges by itself, with no interruptions or jogs.
