Shawls for Sharing

This is a top down increasing triangle shawl with a beautiful ruffled edge. The centre gusset has a subtle yet meaningful message of Xs and Os to symbolize the love and intention we put into every stitch when handmaking a shawl for friends we know and friends we have yet to meet.

This is the first knit pattern released with Shawls for Sharing, a new initiative with Project Kristin Cares. Each quarter Kristin Omdahldesigns and releases a dedicated shawl pattern, and 100% of the proceeds of the sale of the pattern during that quarter will be donated to the National Network to End Domestic Violence.

The Alessia Shawl was designed using Ancient Arts Lascaux DK yarn in Amethyst. In keeping with purple being the colour for Domestic Violence Awareness, we are offering yarn kits in three shades of purple: Amethyst, Kismet, and Lavender & Lace.

Lascaux DK - 25% Manx Loaghtan / 75% Punta Arenas Wool
250 meters / 273 yards per 100 gram / 3.5 oz skein
Gauge: 21 - 24 sts / 4 inches (10 cm) US 5 - 7 or 3.75 - 4.5 mm

Working with Hand Dyed Yarn:While we strive for consistency, due to the hand dye process variations may exist between (and with some colourways within) dye lots. Therefore it is important to order sufficient yarn for your project, and if a uniform result is preferred we suggest alternating skeins. We hope that you will value and appreciate the beautiful and unique creations of the hand dye process and are always happy to assist you in working with hand dyed yarns!

We offer a 60-day return and exchange policy from the date of shipment. To be eligible for a return or exchange yarn must be in original condition with label intact and be scent and smoke-free. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
